Techflex™ flexible vacuum jacketed (vacuum insulated) hoses offer improved safety and cost savings over non-insulated hoses.  These hoses are the perfect solution for cost-efficient transfer of liquid nitrogen, due to their thermal efficiency.  Safety is improved by eliminating frosty and dripping conditions, which present safety hazards.

Durable, frost-free, easy-to-use cryogenic transfer lines

Techflex™ LN2 hoses are designed and manufactured for long-term, maintenance-free use for the transfer of liquid nitrogen.  These hoses can be used in any application requiring the safe transfer of liquid nitrogen.  Frosting of lines is eliminated with our vacuum insulated design.  Even with -320°F liquid nitrogen flowing through the hose, the outer surface remains at room temperature, safe to touch with bare hands.

Techflex hoses are proven superior in thermal efficiency

Independent laboratory tests have demonstrated that standard, off-the-shelf Techflex hoses offer a higher thermal efficiency than those of its competitors.  This translates into real dollar savings in reduced use of cryogen over time and a longer useful service life.

Applications

Technifab's Techflex LN2 flexible vacuum insulated lines are used in applications requiring the safe and efficient transfer of liquid nitrogen to any use point regardless of distance.  These hoses are used in laboratories, food and pharmaceutical processing facilities, with medical equipment and in a wide variety of industrial applications.

Techflex™ Construction

Techflex™ hoses incorporate a vacuum chamber super-insulated with alternate layers of aluminum foil and spacer material.  A special chemical gettering added to the vacuum chamber extends the service life of the hose.

The outer covering of the Techflex™ is made of interlocking stainless steel which, due to its light weight and flexibility, allows a minimum bend radius of only 4.5" on 1/4" inside diameter hose.

To ensure superior quality and safety, every Techflex™ hose is flow-tested and leak-tested using helium mass spectrometer to 1 x 10-9 std. cc/sec, as well as equipped with a tamperproof evacuation valve.

Safer and more efficient

The use of Techflex in place of non-insulated transfer hoses results in significant cost savings, as it greatly reduces liquid loss during transfer.  These cost savings are further enhanced by the improved quality of your liquids.  Techflex will also improve process safety by eliminating frosty and dripping conditions, which create safety hazards.  All of the above make Techflex the safe and efficient way to transfer liquid nitrogen.

Hoses for the transfer of other cryogenic fluids

Our standard Techflex hoses are designed for liquid nitrogen use, but can also be used for liquid argon transfer.  Additionally, we manufacture hoses for other cryogenic liquids, such as oxygen and helium.  These are available upon request and manufactured to your special needs.

Custom Cryogenic Hoses

Technifab designs and manufactures custom hoses to meet your specific requirements.  Custom-tailored systems may include fittings such as tees and elbows, as well as bayonets and valves.  A wide variety of end connections is available to accommodate hook-up to any type of equipment.  Hoses with inside diameters of up to one inch are shipped from stock, and we can custom manufacture larger sizes.

Cryogenic Safety Accessories

Technifab is able to supply accessories needed for the safe transfer of cryogenic liquids including gloves, face shields, and aprons to help protect personnel.

Quality Assurance

Technifab Techflex transfer hoses and accessories are backed by our Quality Assurance warranty.  Ask for details.  Technifab Products specializes in liquid cryogen transfer equipment, vacuum jacketed piping, flexible vacuum insulated transfer lines, phase separators, ASME code pressure vessels, custom engineered products for cryogenic applications and other specialty cryogenic equipment.
