Rigid vacuum jacketed pipe from Technifab has extremely low heat-leak, minimizing cryogen loss from boil-off.  It is maintenance-free for a minimum of ten years.

Our vacuum insulated piping systems are manufactured in easy-to-assemble sections with high-efficiency and low heat-leak bayonet connections.  Technifab's bayonet connections provide frost-free connections between pipe sections and easily accommodate future expansions or modifications of installed systems.

Advantages

Technifab vacuum jacketed pipe with bayonet connection systems:

  • Delivers significant savings due to minimal cryogen loss

  • Requires no maintenance

  • Provides longer, care-free service life

  • Is easier to install than foam insulated copper pipe

  • Is backed by a 10-year maintenance-free warranty providing you with peace of mind for years to come

  • Provides a rapid return on your investment

.  When you price vacuum insulated piping systems, please note that the initial cost of a cryogenic transfer system does not represent the total operating cost.  Our loyal customers have come to recognize that the ease of installation of a Technifab VJP system, the long-maintenance-free service life of the pipe, the savings on liquid nitrogen due to drastically reduced heat leak amounts to a short return on the initial investment.  Over a 10-year period, on average, our customers have saved thousands of dollars, which translates to an improved profit margin.

Learn how Techniguard™ Vacuum Jacketed Pipe (VJP) can improve your operation's efficiency and profitability.

Quality Assurance

Technifab Rigid VJP is backed by a 10-year maintenance-free warranty.

The high thermal performance of Technifab's rigid vacuum insulated pipe saves our customers enough liquid nitrogen so that the system pays for itself in less than a year in most cases.

System design

Regardless of the size, complexity or location you envision, Technifab can design the system right for your installation.

Suggested applications

Techniguard vacuum insulated piping can be used in any situation where cryogenic liquids need to be transferred from a bulk storage tank to any number of user locations.  Techniguard is well suited for any of the following installations:

  • Food plants using cryogenic liquids in their processing
  • Pharmaceutical plants requiring long supply runs of cryogenic liquid from the bulk storage tank to multiple use points
  • Processing facilities requiring long exterior pipe runs exposed to weather

Cryogenic pipe construction

Technifab vacuum insulated pipe is constructed of 304 stainless steel schedule 5 welded or seamless pipe ASTM A 312.

Expansion joints are located on the inner or outer pipe to allow for contractions caused by cryogenic temperatures.  The inner pipe is suspended within the outer pipe by low thermal conductivity radial supports.

The vacuum chamber is super-insulated with alternate layers of machine wrapped aluminum foil and appropriate spacer material with chemical gettering as required.
