Technifab administrative offices and manufacturing facility

In 1992 Noel Short, chairman of the company, brought his 40-plus years experience in the field of cryogenics and manufacturing to launch Technifab Products, Inc., which today specializes in the storage, transfer and control of cryogenic fluids.  The company designs and manufactures custom cryogenic equipment for a wide variety of specialized OEM applications, and it has developed a line of standard products for the safe, efficient and cost-effective handling of cryogenic liquids.

Technifab continues as a privately-held company, building upon the high standards of quality and performance initiated by its founder and carried forth by members of the family with the addition of exceptional professional talent from outside the family at all levels of the company's operation.  Through its commitment to quality products and support services the company is challenging industry leaders in core product areas.  This old-fashioned dedication combined with the company's youthful energy has led to its ever-growing list of satisfied customers.

In 1995 Technifab moved to its present location in the Brazil, Indiana Industrial Park where a new building was constructed.  That building has been doubled twice in size and in 2006 a new office addition was constructed.  The business has grown from its inception in 1992 to an operation of more than seventy employees with global distribution of its cryogenic storage and transfer equipment.

Technifab manufactures standard and custom vacuum jacketed equipment for the storage and transfer of cryogenic fluids.  The engineering group supports manufacturing and the continuous development of new cryogenic fluid-handling products.  Technifab is housed in a 50,000 square-foot climate-controlled office and manufacturing facility, plus a 3,500 square-foot warehouse to inventory the company's growing line of standard products such as vacuum jacketed pipe, hoses and valves.  A separate structure houses research and development test equipment, and in 2006 the company added a paint facility.
